Roofing Progress

Evening ya'll. Once again, I found myself "in the neighborhood" and saw that there was more progress on the home site. The roof is about 85% done. They have to lay some more wood and then start the shingling process. I'm going to make a conscious effort to NOT go back to the home site until this Saturday. Fingers crossed that I can accomplish this though I'm not making any promises. Until next time Bloggers!

The roof. You can see where they're finishing up the roofing portion of the closet that will be above the garage.

Gotta love the random street light that will be at the corner of your property. Lol, in all seriousness, I actually like the street light. It's just in the way when I take photos.

Another view from the left hand side of the house (from the street).

Pleasantly surprised to see some of the brick and the mortar for the house. At the rate they're going and with this great weather, they may be able to get some of those bricks up there. I'm extremely happy with the progress so far.

Front view of the house. I can't wait to take a picture when the house is completely built.

Another view from the left side of the house.

Right side picture of the house and view of one of the upstairs bedrooms.

Love this home, but building it is clearly a messy undertaking. There's all sorts of wood trash strewn about.

Another view of the home with the shipment of bricks.

Up in the sky, it's a bird, it's a plane, nah, it's just a worker on the roof.

Rear view of the house. You can see a portion of the roof from this angle. Also, the aluminum like material that's wrapped around the house is material that will be used in conjunction with the insulation.

  1. Hello future neighbor! My wife and I are building the Elevation A Oberlin Terrace across the street from you (Lot 12) . I was searching through the ryan home blogs and was shocked to find one on the Oberlin Terrace. Low and behold, it's one in our community! Love the design choices you made, there a a few that we have in common. See you in the neighborhood!

  2. Morning Neighbor! I'm so happy that you found us! My boyfriend and I have been looking at the progress on your home and it looks great! One of the main reasons I started this blog was because I had a hard time finding any Ryan Homes blogs on the Oberlin Terrace. Feel free to check back in as I'll be blogging about once a week. We look forward to meeting you and your wife. Welcome to the neighborhood!!
